Beyonce's Superbowl Half Time Costume from Sketch to Reality

If there's one thing that I love most in the fashion world, it's seeing a marvelous sketch come to life.  And what better and more glorious presentation of the physical manifestation of a vision than the Super Bowl Halftime show?

Beyonce hit the stage for the Super Bowl XLVII halftime show, strutting out in Proenza Schouler booties, and a remarkable black leather and lace ensemble created by genius designer Rubin Singer.  The 2 sat down after Thanksgiving to start working on the costume, which Rubin Singer says was inspired by the Valkyries in Norse mythology.  Who knew!?

Those mythical creatures were actually women who had the ultimate deciding power over which soldiers lived and died in battle.  Well, Beyonce certainly looked like she was ready for battle, and she fought hard on that stage, presenting an elaborate and visual spectacle adorned by millions.

So take a look at the original sketch, and see how it came to life for the show.  Pretty impressive!  What do you think?
